ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The basic entrance requirement is to hold an official bachelor degree related with construction, equivalent to at least 180 ECTS credits (for guidance on equivalent qualifications, please refer to your home university).

Besides taking into account that the course is taught and examined in English, all students whose first language is not English must have a high level of English (writing, speaking, reading and listening) over B1 level.

The criteria for assessing the applicant's merits are:

  • Assessment of the student record and the syllabus of the degree of the applicant (50%).
  • English command over B1 level (30%).
  • Personal interview through videoconference (Skype), to verify the knowledge, experience, skills and interests of each applicant (20%).

CERTIFICATES AND DIPLOMAS

International students must be aware that official documents such as certificates or diplomas can only be awarded by the official entities or bodies in charge, always following what the law states, being impossible to shorten or modify the official procedures.

MOOC internationally awarded

The MOOC on Sustainable Construction in Miríada X, with the participation of lecturers of the Master, has been awarded in 2017 with the Honorable Mention of the Open Education Consortium in the category of COURSE/OCW/MOOC.


Visit to the facilities of Candesa

Students of the Master visit the facilities of the company CANDESA Group in Camargo. This visit is part of the module on Design and Sustainability.


Visit to the facilities of IH Cantabria

Students of the Master visit one more year the IH Cantabria facilities, within the module dedicated to the study of Research Methods in Civil Engineering.


Dr. Professor Joaquín Díaz awarded the prestigious Medal Konrad Zuse

Joaquín Díaz, Dr. Civil Engineer and Professor of the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen in Giessen (Germany) and of the Master in Construction Research, Technology and Management in Europe has been awarded this year the Medal Konrad Zuse by the Central Association of the German Construction Industry (ZDB in German). This distinction is given to professionals who have shown an extraodinary performance in the field of information technology applied to construction. In concrete, ZDB highlights the work of Prof. Dr. Joaquín Díaz in the development of standards GAEB, as well as his professional commitment and outstanding reputation in the application of information technology to the fields of construction and building. The medal will be awarded next 8 November in Berlin, Germany.
